Designer who
learned to build.

I'm Haakon. I trained as an art director and then never really stopped adding to it. I've always liked working across different creative mediums, and I've probably got at least some experience with whatever one you can think of: design, photography, video, and eventually code.

That comes from being driven by learning and problem solving more than by any particular job title. I wanted to understand what everyone around me was doing. Partly so I could do it myself, mostly so I could talk to them properly.

I'm also a nerd, which I imagine comes through. I run a homelab nobody asked for, and I'll happily lose a weekend to a problem I have no practical use for solving.

These days I sit somewhere between design, development and product, and I take on freelance work across all of it. Whenever a client asks if something is possible, my job is to say yes, then spend the time between that and the live date figuring out how.
