learned to build.

I started out as an art director, trained to think in systems, hierarchy and craft. Over the last few years I moved into product — first as a developer, then as a product manager — without ever leaving the design thinking behind.

That mix is the point. I can sit with a designer and an engineer and speak both languages, and I care as much about why something ships as how it looks. This site is a small example of that — designed, built and deployed by me.
